Few Thriller costumes on Auction

3 costumes wore by dancers on the Michael Jackson’s short film “THRILLER” are for grab at Bonhams auctions on May 14!

The auction called: “TCM Presents … Wonders of the Galaxy” will take place in Los Angeles starting at 1pm.

A Mick Garris zombie costume from Michael Jackson’s Thriller Optimum Productions, 1983. Vintage gray suit coat bearing an interior “Hammonton Park Clothes / Los Angeles” label with a pair of matching suit pants, purposely distressed and cut into shards, with holes and faux dead leaves scattered throughout the suit; 2 polyester dress shirts, gray and cream-colored, spattered with aging faux blood stains and shredded throughout; a decaying orange necktie; and a pair of brown men’s loafers covered in faux spider webs and various pieces of cloth, with “Mick” written in black marker to each insole.

A Cynthia Garris zombie costume from Michael Jackson’s Thriller Optimum Productions, 1983. Vintage mid-length 1950s dress dyed in fall colors consisting of purposely distressed lace, netting, tulle, ribbon, and fabric which has been cut into shards, with a corsage of faux dead flowers, netting, and sequins attached to the right shoulder, bearing an interior “Elegant Miss / of California” label; an underslip of dyed silk with a ragged hem bearing an interior “Snip-It” slip label; an orange demi hat adorned with faux dead flowers, netting, faux leaves, and faux spider webs bearing an interior “Milbrae Exclusives” label; a pair of pink, green, blue, and purple dyed high heel shoes stamped “Penaljo” and with “Cynthia” written in black marker to the insoles, size 9.5; and a pair of purposely distressed tights with holes and faux spider webs.

An Elaine Baker zombie costume from Michael Jackson’s Thriller Optimum Productions, 1983. Vintage ankle-length 1950s dress dyed in fall colors consisting of purposely distressed lace, netting, tulle, and fabric, a puffed skirt with a crinoline of tulle which has been cut into shards, and a string of iridescent pearls strung around the neckline; a pillbox hat adorned with feathers, sequins, netting, faux leaves and faux spider webs; and 2 pairs of tights, green and black, both distressed with holes and faux spider webs.

As announced last month, personal items from frank Dileo’s collection will be for grab in an auction.

This time they are from Frank DiLeo’s Estate and includes personal items that Frank has kept through the years working with Michael.

The auction will take place from 13 -22 November 2019.

The full list has now been released and this includes the socks that Michael Jackson worn on “Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever Special Concert” and therefore the first moonwalk ever!

The item is set to go over $2 Million!

Other items such as Fedoras, tour jackets and t-shirts and also some items from Neverland Ranch

Es kommt nicht selten vor, dass Fans alles für ihren umjubelten Superstar tun würden. Im Fall von Chris Brown zum Beispiel warteten einige Anhänger fast zwölf Stunden in einer Schlange, um sich einige Kleidungsstücke des Musikers kostengünstig kaufen zu können. Sein Flohmarkt, welchen er auf seinem Anwesen in Los Angeles aufgebaut hatte, schrieb weltweite Schlagzeilen und soll nur der Anfang sein.

Doch was passiert, wenn diverse Künstler viel zu früh von uns gegangen waren und Auktionshäuser plötzlich persönliche Gegenstände und Kleidungsstücke in die Hänge bekommen? Richtig, jene Dinge werden an den Höchstbietenden versteigert und bringen manchmal unglaubliche Summen ein. Socken gehen unter den Hammer
Zehn Jahre nach dem plötzlichen Ableben von Michael Jackson wird es eine weitere Auktion geben, bei welcher seine Fans tief in die Tasche greifen müssen - sollten sie ein Paar Socken des “Thriller”-Interpreten ihr Eigen nennen wollen. Rund eine Million Dollar soll der Verkauf dem “Gottahaverockandroll”-Auktionshaus einbringen. Eine Million Dollar für jene handgefertigten Socken, welche der King of Pop beim TV-Spezial “Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever” im Jahr 1983 getragen haben soll, während er erstmals seinen berüchtigten und legendären Moonwalk präsentierte:

Die Auktion läuft vom 13. bis zum 22. November 2019 und beinhaltet ebenfalls eine handgeschriebene Danksagung Michael Jacksons, welcher seinem ehemaligen Manager Frank DiLeo jene Socken als Geschenk für seine Arbeiten zwischen 1984 und 1989 überreicht hatte.

Some of Michael Jackson’s gifts to Elizabeth Taylor will be put on auction along side many personal items from the famous actress and Friend of Michael Jackson.

The auction will take place in Beverly Hills on December 6, 7 & 8.

A custom made grisaille wool portrait rug of Elizabeth Taylor, the image from the White Diamonds perfume campaign, gifted to Taylor from Michael Jackson, inscribed lower right, “Elizabeth I Love You, Michael.”

Black satin, red ribbon detailing on sleeves, multi color ribbon epaulets, two front flap pockets with faux brass crest style buttons, seven same button front closure, no label present but designed by Tompkins & Bush, the longtime costume designers for Jackson.

A special presentation piece presented to Quincy Jones for “the sale of more than / 21,000,000 copies” of this most famous album; gifted to the star by Jones himself.

A group of eight vintage Disney Pinocchio items including a Schmid white porcelain figurine, a carved wood seated Pinocchio, a plaster standing Pinocchio with moveable arms, a seated resin figurine with moveable legs, a plush Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket and Figaro, and a cardboard standee signed by Michael Jackson to Elizabeth Taylor on the verso; all gifted to the star directly by her good friend.

Tallest, 27 inches

A black rayon blend chiffon heavily adorned with various black beads interspersed with large faux rubies and diamonds, boat neck, long sleeves, black beaded ‘fringe’ trim, back zip up closure, no label present, but designed by Gianfranco Ferre; worn by the star on September 10, 2001 in New York City when she attended the gala event honoring her dear friend at Madison Square Garden.

A soft black leather, fitted, adorned with numerous zippers and belts, lined in purple satin, label reads “Dennis Tompkins / Michael Bush” [longtime costumiers to the King of Pop]; Jackson had his design team make this piece based on the jacket he wore in his 1987 “Bad” video, and he gave it to Taylor for her 55th birthday on February 27 of that same year.

1. A classic letterman’s style one of black wool with black leather sleeves, the ‘Dangerous World Tour’ logo stitched on front, an elaborate associated patch sewn on back, label reads in part “Identity Inc. / New York, N.Y.”
2. A classic letterman’s style one of black nylon with red suede sleeves, with numerous and elaborate logos and patches on front including one reading “Michael Jackson,” sleeves, and back relating to the “Mama Concerts + Rau / The Concert Company / MC&R / We Believe in Music” show possibly in Germany, label reads in part “MCM Limited, Southhampton, N.J.;” gifted to the star by her good friend.
3. A standard design in a white and grey striped Mylar type material, featuring an image of Michael Jackson on the front with text reading “44th Anniversary Dinner / United Negro College Fund,” same image on the back but bigger, further record label text on either sleeve, label reads in part “Ty Breakers.”
